TEMPORARILY PROTECTON PROGRAM
(TPP)

The Temporary Protection Program (TPP Shelter) was established in 2022 in response to the  2021 military coup in Myanmar to provide safe accommodation and essential support for vulnerable youth along the Thai–Myanmar border. Currently, more than 80 young people reside in SAW’s shelters in Mae Sot. Many of them come from conflict-affected backgrounds, including families of political prisoners, activists, and members of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).

All children are enrolled in the Higher Education Program (HEP), where they are able to access  higher education, skills training, and personal development opportunities. The program aims to restore stability, strengthen resilience, and prepare youth for a brighter future.
