INCOME GENERATION PROGRAM (IGP)

SAW Foundation Launched the Income Generation Program (IGP) to create sustainable income that supports the implementation of SAW’s various programs, as well as to provide livelihood opportunities for women and young people residing in our shelters. Participants from different shelters engage in the production of a variety of handmade goods, including purses, clothing, bags, scarves, and other items created using fabric, cotton, and recycled materials. The income generated from these products contributes directly to SAW programs and supports the participants themselves.

In the past, SAW exported these products internationally through partnerships with external organizations. Local stakeholders and community members also place orders for events and fundraising activities. The program not only strengthens SAW Foundation’s financial sustainability but also promotes the well-being of women and young people by offering meaningful engagement and psychosocial support. Many of the participants have experienced traumatic and challenging situations, and involvement in the IGP provides them with a sense of purpose, stability, and empowerment.

We warmly encourage you to support this initiative and uplift the women and young people at our shelters by purchasing their handmade products.
