SAW SAFE HOUSE

Safe House for Orphans and Abandoned Children (Since 2000 – Present)  was established in 2000, alongside the founding of our organization, to provide protection and comprehensive care for vulnerable children from Myanmar. Many of these children were referred to us by trusted local partners such as Mae Tao Clinic, Mae Sot General Hospital, UNHCR, and other community stakeholders. Currently, 106 orphans and abandoned children live at the Safe House, which is located within our Foundation compound. The shelter provides a safe and nurturing environment where children receive comprehensive support and essential services.

Since being officially registered as a legal foundation in Thailand in 2017, 62 children have been granted Thai citizenship. The remaining children are currently in the process of obtaining citizenship status. For many of these children, the Safe House has been their only home. We have cared for them from infancy and newborn stages through adolescence, ensuring they receive nutritious meals, access to education, healthcare services, psychosocial support, and other essential needs. For over two decades, the Safe House has remained committed to raising each child with dignity, stability, and opportunity and empowering them to build a brighter and more secure future.
